Maximum Express : Above and Beyond

Sector Learning Solution’s CEO, Gerry Brimacombe, wants to thank Al Hasham of Maximum Express Courier, Freight & Logistics for their outstanding customer service.

You see we were hoping to pay our subcontractors prior to Christmas and were awaiting a large cheque in order to do so. The cheque was promised by Dec 23rd, and this is what happened…

‘Twas the day before Christmas while deep in the office 
Gerry Brimacombe had a problem that made him feel nauseous.

He promiosed his sub-contractors’ payment for work
They had toiled hard and never did shirk.

We had  hoped that end-of-the-year cheques would be there
But without client’s payment, cash flow is rare.

With Gerry in Victoria and his client in Vancouver, 
They finally agreed on a tricky maneuver

A cheque on her desk, her office closed at noon,
a courier needed, not a moment too soon…

The cheque was cut and sitting on a desk in Burnaby, and their courier could only get it to Sector by Dec 28th. So with only an hour to spare, Gerry decided to ask Maximum Express for help. He dialed Al Hasham’s cellphone and reached him mid-commute into Vancouver.

Gerry explained the situation: “We have a cheque sitting in Burnaby, their office closes in an hour, and I want to pay my subcontractors. Can you help?”

Al responded, “No problem. Do you want us to deposit the cheque into your account?”

Gerry, dumbfounded, replied, “You can do that? YES!!!”

Within an hour Gerry received a call back telling him to check his bank balance: the money was there and Gerry started calling subcontractors saying:

“If visions of sugarplums dance in your head.
Then pop over to Sector where we’re not in the red”.

He was able to pay all the subcontractors, immediately, and with joy.

This superior treatment of their clients goes above-and-beyond the level of service that we’ve received from larger well-known corporate courier companies, (one of which recently delivered a “Guaranteed Delivery” a day late and refused to offer us a refund for their error).
